Animations

This page presents several animations showing the behaviour of the chaotic pendulum. Wolfram Mathematica possessors may directly download the CDF files and use it with Mathematica.

We have chosen to separate our main program in multiple parts on the website, for the main program was not very well handled by the CDF Player plugin (106 MB). It is not possible to enter data using a keyboard without using Mathematica - you will have to use the mouse.

You will find in the menu below each one of the proposed animations.

  2. download file Poincaré section

  3. download file 1st return application

  4. download file distance to fixpoint

  5. download file φ(t) , φ'(t) , θ (t) , θ'(t) curves

  6. download file download file  main animation (.cdf and .nb versions are downloadable)

Problems might be encountered on the web applications.
It is advised to download the programs and directly use them in Mathematica.
